Why
PBR (Private Business Radio) Radios needs a license to operate?
Private Business Radios operate on either VHF or UHF radio
frequencies that is issued and co-coordinated by the Radio
Communications Agency. In order to transmit on these frequencies,
you are required to have a license issued by Radio Communications
Agency; there are few exceptions to this ruling.
The key benefits of licensed frequencies are:
- Larger range
- Less interference from other users
These frequencies are allocated to businesses only, on a
case-by-case basis. Once your licence has been issued, High
Motive will program them into your equipment; there is no
limit to how many radios you have the frequencies put in to.
